On February 10, 2024, the inaugural Purchase College Latin Jazz Festival will honor Eddie Palmieri at The Performing Arts Center, Purchase College. The festival includes a jazz showcase and competition featuring high school Latin jazz bands, followed by a tribute concert to Palmieri at 8 PM. The evening performance will feature trumpeter Ray Vega, saxophonist David DeJesus, bassist Ricardo Rodriguez, and the Purchase Latin Jazz Orchestra. Palmieri, a ten-time Grammy winner, will be present to address the audience.
